“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” - Joshua 24:15

An Answered Prayer
I meant to mention this in my post last night but forgot! We are so thankful that a sweet friend of ours, Tracey Steenbergh, has agreed to watch Joshua for us on Mondays! She is a great mom and I know Joshua will be in wonderful hands. Thanks Tracey! And thank you Lord for providing!
Someone had posted a rude comment on my blog a couple weeks ago, so I restricted comments. I mean, if you don't like my blog, don't read it. You don't have to leave a comment to tell me that. It's my blog and I will write what I want to write. Anyways, I have re-opened comments to only those with a registered account. Not sure what that means. Sorry if you want to leave a comment but can't.
Thanks!

3 Months!
This is one of my favorite pictures so far. This was taken on Jeff's phone so it's a little grainy. But I LOVE his cheeks and how he puts his lips together in this picture. So cute!

I can't believe how fast time as gone! Joshua is 3 months old today. I was reminiscing about his delivery earlier today. I seriously can't believe it's been 3 months! Some days it feels like he's been here for longer than 3 months and then other times I feel like it was just yesterday we brought him home and were trying to figure the newborn thing out! He is definitely not a newborn anymore.
What Joshua is up to these days:
1. He has discovered the animals than hang from one of his seats and gets really excited when he sees them and swings his hands around knocking them around. Pretty soon, I think he'll start grabbing them.
2. Last time we weighed him (a week or so ago) on my parents digital scale, it said 16 pounds. Last time we measured him (can't remember when exactly) he was 24 inches long. He goes to the doctor at the end of June for his 4 month check up...wow can't believe that.
3. He has discovered the circles on our rocker. So in the middle of the night when I am rocking him, he gets excited and starts doing this head bobbing thing and waving his arms around trying to get them. He makes little bird lips at the same time...it's hilarious to watch. I truly love seeing him in the middle of the night. He is such a sweet little boy.
4. He is an AGGRESSIVE eater :) I can't remember a time when right before he ate, he wasn't crying like he was starving. He acts like I don't feed him. But I DO :)
5. He has been going to bed somewhere between 7:30 and 8:30 every evening. Tonight he fell asleep around 6:30 for a short snooze. It was actually great because he was then up for a little while longer before we started his bedtime routine. Hopefully he'll sleep a little longer for me tonight! He typically wakes up once a night (around 3:30) and then sleeps till 7 or 8. I am still catching up on rest. I would probably go back to sleep and sleep til noon if I could every day.
6. He loves his daddy! He loves to smile at him when I hold him on my shoulder.
7. He is starting to finally like baths. It's not a screaming fest every time, thank goodness.
8. He coos A LOT. It is so much fun to hear him do that. There is something in the room that he thinks is funny but I have no idea what it is. When I pick him up from the changing table, he looks over at the bookshelf and just starts smiling and cooing. Maybe it's a stuffed animal?? Not sure?
9. I find him in bed up on his elbows with his head lifted really high and steady. I really think it won't be too long before he'll roll over. He has such a strong neck.
10. He loves his mommy! He has started to smile and coo at me when he nurses. Makes for a messy feeding but it is THE BEST. I love when he looks up at me and smiles.
Now for some pics...
He doesn't really like to be propped up in the boppy. He doesn't like to "sit" very much.
Getting stronger each day!
Joshua is listening very closely to what daddy is saying.
He loves to sit on daddy's lap and smile. Look at that belly!
Mommy loves reading to Joshua. Even if he doesn't care to look at the book at all while she is reading.

My First Mother's Day
It's sad to say that I didn't get a picture by myself with Josh on Mother's Day!! I can't believe it! But I guess he'll never really care :) I have been slacking when it comes to taking pictures. I just love hanging out with him that I forget to take pictures. I am going to try to do better because he is changing so much! But thankfully, we had a big group picture taken at the Clarks on Sunday.
He is "talking" to us all the time. We tried him in a "Johnny Jumper" that my sister in law Erica let us borrow. He's just a wee bit too young for it. His feet touch the ground but he doesn't really stand upright just yet.
I really love being a mom! I am getting sad to think about going back to work. I will be going back June 14th. It is coming so fast! I know only 2 days a week is not the worst. I know others that have to work full time so I should be counting my blessings. I am just a little more emotional these days. We are still working on finding someone to watch him on Mondays.
Jeff and I got to enjoy a night with Greg and Amy alone without kids! It was A BLAST. I don't remember the last time I laughed so much. We (me especially) will miss them when they move! I love having them so close. I remember when Jace was first born, I used to go over to their house probably daily to see him. It will definitely be different driving by their house and not seeing them there. But I still think that Jace, Will, and Josh will be best friends!
Enjoy a couple pictures of the past week. The first one is all the Clark cousins at Papa Jack and Maggie's house on Sunday.
From left to right: Lilly, Elena, Emery, Joshua, and Hannah
Below is some cute pictures of Joshua with my mom this past Saturday.
And here is Amy and I in the car on the way to our night out. We were so excited to get out! We even went and got spray tanned the day before so we could look cute. We went to a fantastic restaurant in Zionsville called Noah Grant's. I had the BEST filet mignon.

The biggest blowout...
Well it's been a while. So a quick update...I stopped the Zantac for reflux. I really don't think that's what it was. I think his stomach was upset from the antibiotics in the hospital, gassy just because that's who he is, and then he gets frustrated when my milk flow slows down. He prefers the gulping method of the beginning of my milk let down. It's hit or miss with feedings. Sometimes he still fusses while he eats, other times, not at all. I can't figure it out. But I have stopped trying. It may sound horrible, but I can't keep worrying about this. He is growing and he is happy after he eats and burps. So, what more can I do?????? I have started pumping after every feeding to help build up my milk supply so hopefully it will allow him to have more milk at a faster pace. I have a ton of milk in my freezer so I know he can get enough, it's just whether or not he is content with the pace from time to time.
Can I just say that it is still hard for me to figure out if his crying means I am hungry, bored, tired, or just needing to cry. I try nursing and he doesn't want to nurse. Then Jeff takes him and he's happy?!? Will it get easier!?!
He is such a sweet boy! I think he's a daddy's boy!!!! Makes me kind of sad but I know it's a good thing. Seriously, he smiles the most for Jeff out of anyone! Even me! Jeff will walk into the room and look at him and almost instantly after Jeff starts talking to him, he gets the biggest grin and starts cooing! It is SO cute to watch them together. Right now they are sitting together watching Brian Regan on you tube.
Here are a couple recent pictures of our little guy.
My grandpa got pooped on by my cousin Cassie when she was a baby. I warned them when they came in that Josh hadn't pooped in 2 days. Before...
And after...
Sorry grandpa!!! It got on his pants in the most horrible spot if you can tell :) Then my grandma helped me give him a bath. He hated that one but loved his bath tonight.

A Baker's Dozen
Yep...that's right. Our baby weighed 13 lbs on Friday (13 lbs 2 oz with clothes). He is a porker! So in 8 weeks, he has almost doubled his birth weight. Yikes! We may have a world record baby on our hands...hope not :)
