Josh is 2!!!!!

Josh is 2 years old. CRAZY. I can't believe how fast these past 2 years have gone and what changes we have witnessed! Here are a few things Josh is doing:

1. Going potty on the toilet! He was in underwear all day yesterday with only one accident. Today he told me "I go poo poo" so I ran him to the toilet and with only one little pea sized deposit in the underwear, the rest was in the toilet! He LOVES getting M&Ms every time he goes. And he has been waking up from naps dry! So we will be venturing out in public one day soon in underwear to see how that goes.

2. On the morning of his birthday, Jeff and I walked in to his room and sang happy birthday to him. He got so excited and said "MY BIRTHDAY IS HERE!!" and ran into each room saying "Where's my birthday?" haha!

3. I think as soon as he turned 2, he started becoming more ornery (in a cute way of course)! He is pushing my buttons a little more, getting into everything! Climbing on things, moving his chair in the kitchen to try to get whatever he can on the counters, etc. He is becoming much more active which is great 98% of the time for me! I love seeing him figure things out. Just today, he unwrapped a piece of candy that was pretty challenging even for me :)

4. And he has quite the imagination. Most days there are alligators in his bed, a monkey on the wall eating a banana, and a cat out in the back yard.

Here are a few pics from the party.

Josh got a new tricycle from Nana and Papaw.

Our big 2 year old!!!

His birthday football.

Two of my favorite boys. The third was sleeping during this picture.

Here's the cake I made. I you-tubed how to make a train cake and found one I really liked. Here is the step by step :) After making the cake and cutting them into the different shapes, I iced each one a different color. Please ignore the horrible job on the chocolate one. Couldn't get the icing to stick to the cake very well so it looks messy.

I piped different colors on each train car.

And here's the result! (with added candy)

And here are a few cousins helping wash the dishes at the party :) Aren't they all beautiful!

Josh getting excited to finally eat his cake.

And now for Caleb (ugh! I hate this blue underlined stuff)... Caleb is growing so fast!

Caleb went to the doctor this past Friday and weighed 12 lbs 13 oz (75%) 23 in long (50%) with 15.75 in head (50%). He has doubled his birth weight already! Way to go Caleb. And he is such a happy baby. The reflux is tons better! Even though he is still spitting up, he is a happier spitter! Praise the Lord. He has been sleeping 5 or 6 hours in a row at night. The past few nights he has been going to bed at 11 and waking up at 5am. Makes me so much happier. And he is super smiley. Loves his big brother and daddy. And I am feeling more bonded to him each day. It definitely is different than the first time around. But he has me wrapped around his little finger. Especially with his sweet smiles that he seems to give me all the time.

Here's Josh when it snowed a couple days ago.

And this is what happens when I am nursing Caleb. I asked Josh what he was doing and he didn't say anything until a few minutes later when he got down from the chair and showed me his face! At least it was just washable markers :)

And Josh helps me in the kitchen all the time. This time we were making red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing (on his face) for senior night.

And enjoying the finished product.

And Josh loves the bath. So I figured I should probably get a picture of him in the bath one of these days.

Love his sweet eyes!

This is Caleb at 2 months. See the last post I made for Josh at 2 months in the same outfit. I think Caleb looks much more like me. They have such different shaped heads.

Brotherly love!

Love his little tongue :)

And just for kicks...I watched Will the other day and Josh and Will had a great time throwing bubbles around my kitchen :) Love these two!

Josh rarely wants to hold Caleb but this was one of those rare moments so I had to capture it.
Caleb doesn't look too excited.

So thankful for both boys! We love them so much and can't wait to see them play together.

Go Wildcats...they start the tournament tonight.

8 weeks

Well Caleb is 8 weeks old today! Everything is going well. Aside from some reflux, he is a great baby! Josh has come down with a cold so I am praying Caleb doesn't get it. Here are a few pics of the past week. Caleb smiles at Josh more than he smiles at me. He loves hearing Josh say "Hi baby Caleb" in a really high pitched voice. It is so cute. Enjoy!

The top one is Josh at 2 months. I don't see much similarity at this point.
