Some Vacation Pics

Well these are way past due.  These were from our vacation in August up in Michigan.  We had a wonderful time!! Lots of brotherly love and hanging out with the family.  I always look forward to this vacation.

Lots of time in the water.

Have to explain this one above - Josh is "Dash" and Papaw is "Mr. Incredible". They were having a meeting.  Not sure what the leg up has to do with a meeting though :)

 Flex those muscles boys!

Josh wanted to ride the jet ski.  Jeff let him "drive" and while Jeff wasn't looking, Josh held down the throttle(?) and off they went! He floored it and got up to about 20 mph in about 4 seconds. Jeff quickly stopped it and asked Josh if that was fun? And Josh responded with "I've been waiting to do that my whole life!"  How do they come up with these things? :)

Sweet baby boy.  Although not really a baby anymore.  This kid is talking up a storm and can be quite ornery :)  But VERY loving.

Did lots of goofin' off.

Enjoyed the sunsets.

And lots of sweet family time!  Only thing better would have been if Mo would have been able to make it this year.  Next year for sure! Games, food, walks, sun.  We are blessed!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Here are a few pics of today with my parents.  Jeff shaved his head and our boys heads to match Papaw.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful grandparents (on both sides) for our boys.  Christ is risen...He is risen indeed!

In Heaven

Well you can be sure that I never wanted to write a post like this but life is full of trials.  We found out today that I  have miscarried.  I had a feeling last Wednesday when the baby wasn't measuring what it should have been.  And it was confirmed today on ultrasound after I had some spotting this morning.  Our little sweetheart gets to be with Jesus . We are extremely sad, but we are thankful for God's faithfulness.  He has been preparing our hearts for this all along. As soon as I got pregnant, I began to hear this song on the radio OFTEN. I realize it was played often because it's a great song, but I hardly get to listen to the radio (usually Veggie Tales movies are playing). But it seemed like every time I turned it on, I heard this. And it brought me to tears every time. I began to sense that some sort of trial would be coming. The Lord speaks through many ways but I know for sure He was speaking to me through this song.  And I know even now He will not forsake us.  We are overwhelmed by the love and support of our friends and family.  We have a D&C scheduled for Wednesday.  We love you all.

Not for a Moment by Meredith Andrews

You were reaching through the storm
Walking on the water
Even when I could not see
In the middle of it all
When I thought You were a thousand miles away
Not for a moment did You forsake me
Not for a moment did You forsake me

CHORUS
After all You are constant
After all You are only good
After all You are sovereign
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Not for a moment will You forsake me

You were singing in the dark
Whispering Your promise
Even when I could not hear
I was held in Your arms
Carried for a thousand miles to show
Not for a moment did You forsake me

Chorus

And every step every breath You are there
Every tear every cry every prayer
In my heart at my worst
When my world falls down
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Even in the dark
Even when it's hard
You will never leave me
After all

Big Brothers

If you didn't catch the subtle hint...Josh and Caleb are going to be big brothers!  We are expecting baby #3.  I'm not exactly sure when I am due yet.  We found out Christmas Day and I have yet to go to the doctor.  I go next week to the nurse for a mandatory paper work appointment.  Then hopefully I will be able to schedule an ultrasound with our doctor.  But we are SUPER excited.  I am feeling great. Actually so great that I don't feel pregnant (other than the growing mid section) so I am definitely anxious to go to the doctor and find out how far along I am.

Lots has happened since I posted last.  Jeff and I went to Hawaii with the basketball team (without kids) and had a wonderful time.  Lots of fun together and with the team.  The kids enjoyed Christmas and they are playing so well together. They truly love each other.  Josh loves looking for Caleb to see if he is up to "something suspicious".  Which is usually true!!! And Caleb adores Josh and wants to do everything he does (brush his teeth, wash his hands, sit in a big chair, wrestle, etc).  Caleb says "baa" for sheep, "woof" for dog, "books", "mama", and "tissss" for everything else :)  Josh is super talkative right now and still loves stories and is a mama's boy.  Loves holding my hand wherever we go and wants to do everything with me.  We are so blessed!!!  I have a hunch than #3 is another boy but we won't be finding out until birth.  The suspense!!!!

Enjoy some pics.

We enjoyed breakfast with this beach view several times during our stay.

At the luau (where later that night, Jeff and I would get the dreaded stomach flu that had been going around).

At a famous shave ice place on the North Shore of Oahu.  Delicious! And served over ice cream.

Jeff and I hiked to the top of Diamond Head on our last morning and saw this gorgeous rainbow.

Jeff and I went swimming up near this waterfall.  Really cold water but lots of fun!

We had the BEST shrimp ever (shrimp scampi - loaded with garlic) from this little shrimp truck.

Both of the boys were a bit impatient to get out the door to play in the snow.

Got to see the sun rise a couple of mornings (around 7am).  But we were awake most mornings well before then thanks to the time change.

The boys Christmas Eve presents were matching PJ's.  Making this a yearly tradition.

Caleb is not one to sit still very long. AT ALL.

Playing with their new shopping cart and food. The majority of the stories we tell are from the grocery store.  We must go there a lot.

Auntie came to visit!!!  The boys loved seeing her!

And Caleb got a haircut.  (see 2 pictures below).  This is before.   It was super long in the back and short on the sides. So we just evened it up.  He did great!

Really enjoyed visiting with my sister.  Try to overlook my robe and naked child on my lap. :)

And the final view of his hair cut.  I am a little biased but he is just so sweet!! And ornery!  I can't tell you how many times I tell him no during the day :)

Happy Birthday Cabers!!

Can't believe Caleb is 1!!! TODAY! I could get emotional thinking back on his birth. Such a whirlwind and fast paced experience.  And that about sums up Caleb!  In the past month, he has started to "run", he put my phone in the toilet and swirled it around, and now says "mama", "dada", and "nana". I'm just waiting for him to say Josh.  He LOVES his brother.  After he wakes up from his afternoon nap, Josh is usually still sleeping. I have to run down the hall and chase him multiple times as he tries to open Josh's door and wake him up.  Here are a couple recent pictures of our sweet Caleb.  He is such a joy and we couldn't imagine life without him. He keeps us on our toes and gives us endless hugs and kisses.  Love his sweet little lips.  He loved his homemade chocolate ice cream birthday cake. We are working on tooth #8. Love you Cabers (aka C-man, C-dog, Cabester, Caberoo)!!
