“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” - Joshua 24:15

Baby #2
Well I went to the doctor today. I have been HORRIBLE at posting pictures or anything related to baby #2. Sorry baby! Everything went well. The heart beat was 155. Everyone has told me they think it's a girl but I am not so sure. Lately I have been feeling like it's another boy. And the '155' kind of made me go "ha!!" in my head to all the people that think it's a girl :) In a nice way of course. But who knows. I scheduled my appointment for my 20 week ultrasound but will have to reschedule it. Jeff will be in the Dominican during that time so I'll have to make it for a week later (around August 17). Anyways, I have gained 3 pounds total so far but it feels like 10. I can't seem to eat enough during the morning but the afternoon/evening I feel full until bed time. Kind of strange. But I feel like it's going to the same way my first pregnancy did. And I've started watching "The Business of Being Born" for like the 5th or 6th time tonight. I am getting mentally prepared for labor already :) Now I'm tired and it's past time when I should be in bed. So...off I go. Have a great weekend.

Trip to the Zoo
We took Josh to the zoo today for the first time. Jeff and I hadn't been to the Fort Wayne Zoo in years. It was a blast! My parents joined us. Jeff's parents were baby sitting other grandchildren or else I think they would have been there as well. Josh did great and loved being there. He even skipped his afternoon nap (took it on the way home). And he wasn't ever cranky. We went to eat at Red Robin afterwards. Then once we got to Marion, we went to the Grant County Fair with the Tonagels for the first time and got a funnel cake. It was a wonderful day with wonderful weather. Now he is fast asleep after a shower (with Daddy's help) and hopefully I will be sleeping soon as well. Here are some pictures from today and a few from the past few weeks.
Josh loved the sea otters.
And he enjoyed riding on daddy's shoulders often.
Looking at some birds with papaw.
Josh loves eating cereal, especially some of daddy's.
He has been a bit ornery lately. He looks at you with this half smile and then does something he knows he shouldn't do (like eat crayons). His new one is coloring on the table after we tell him no. He gives you this look as soon as his crayon goes off the paper and onto the table.
Happy Birthday to Jeff who turned 28 on June 10th.
And one of his favorite things to do...find rocks in the street.
And I'll leave you with a couple of funny faces Josh has made.

Some new pictures
I probably say this all the time but Josh is just a great little boy. He is always happy, giggling at the most random things (like when I sneeze). And he loves to go "beep beep". Seriously, I think he might ask to do that about 10 times a day. It's where he goes and stands in the drivers seat and loads and ejects the cd about 20 times, leans on the horn or pulls down the sun visor about 10 times (and we probably do this at least once before 9am!) He just loves the drivers seat. I think he'll be a back seat driver :) He's just such a sweet, sensitive, cuddly, cautious little boy. I just love him! It's hard to imagine having enough room in my heart to love another baby as much :) But I'm sure God will help me with that.
Here are the words Josh is now saying: (I will be using this as a reference for the baby book I have been neglecting!)

Josh loves to cuddle and sleep with Pooh and Teddy. He carries them all over the house and even to the store or out to eat. I am thinking we will get rid of the paci soon. Although Josh just started saying "paci" instead of just "pac" and it is just so cute!!! Hard to resist.
Josh likes to go for walks to find rocks and then throw them down the water drain.
And he loves to pick "flowers".
He wanted nothing to do with me during these pictures. He just wanted to go look at the dogs that live a couple houses down.
I had an early ultrasound today for Baby #2. It went great! Only one baby :) whew...the heart rate was 169 which is great for baby's age. I am exactly a week earlier than I thought. (breast feeding for 13 months I guess throws off my "cycle") So I am 9 1/2 weeks now which puts me due on 1/2/12. Which is kind of a cool date but I hope we have this baby before Christmas day. We'll see. Anyways, everything looked good with Baby #2 and that makes us really happy and thankful. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Truly a boy
Sorry for the longest delay in pictures. Life just gets busy!!! But here's the latest on Josh (who will be 15 months this month!)
I have been contemplating starting potty training Josh. I know he's really young but I thought the earlier the better!!! So when I was changing his diaper today, I took him to the toilet and had him stand on his stool and told him to pee pee in the toilet. And he did! On two separate occasions today! He was so proud of himself!! So I will continue to work with him on it and we'll see how it goes. Whenever we say "Mommy has to go potty" or "pee pee" he runs to the bathroom and goes over to the toilet.
He loves blowing kisses
And today (being a boy!) fell when he was playing with a ball on the ceramic tile and busted his lip open. He cried for a minute but then got over it. I guess I am in for quite a few of these things.
He loves to be outside and climb on these steps.
And his favorite dessert is ice cream! I ran to DQ a few nights ago and brought some ice cream home. This is how he preferred to eat it. Relaxed, laid back on his little stool with mommy spoon feeding him.
Love his sweet smile!
How cute is this future basketball player?!
And for a somewhat random but funny picture...Jace and Will were over several days ago and Jeff went to the bathroom to shower and the boys followed him back there. I came back to find Jace laughing hysterically every time Jeff would peek his head around the curtain. And Will and Josh didn't want to miss out on anything.
And here's what Josh likes to do...get mommy's mascara out of her makeup bag and play with it. And he loves sitting and standing on this stool. He is now trying to climb on everything. A boy!

A typical evening
Well, it's Saturday. And I haven't posted in FOREVER. The 21 day prayer challenge is going great. I still remember (a huge plus) to do it every weekday. I hope to write these out on note cards sometime and laminate them so I can keep these for the future and for easy reference.
Here's a video we took of Josh last night sporting his new NBA gear from our good friends, Tony and Mindy. Enjoy.

21 Days of Prayer

Thanks to my friend, Rachel she let me know of a great thing that is going on here. I am really excited for what this will do for me as well as Joshua. I know he is young but we already pray for his future, future spouse, friends, choices, salvation, etc. So even though I may not see "change" in him at his age right now, I want to get in the habit of praying scripture over him. I will be posting every Friday as an update of how it's going. I am praying for discipline as I find myself SO UNDISCIPLINED!!! I have a hard time of working out 3 times a week, reading my Bible daily, and even getting my laundry done. So it will be a challenge for me to do this. I pray that I will be successful with the Lord's help. The Lord knows I WILL NOT be able to do it on my own.
