The cutest pumpkin ever

Josh is just a ball of fun and laughter. He was giggling today at a small wooden cow on wheels that Maggie and Papa Jack had given him. And he loves this little car that we have (I call it the Jesus car because it has "Jesus" on the side and "Jesus Power" on the trunk). When you push them toward him, he thinks it is super funny.

He has been falling asleep on his side sometimes. I came in one afternoon to check on him and found him cuddling with his doggie.

I found this adorable hat and mittens at Meijer the other day. I think he looks so adorable :)

My friend Jennifer from work gave Josh his first pumpkin hat and bib. The hat however was too small for his 86% melon of a head. But I had fun wedging it on as far as it could go. It looks like a headband but it really is a hat.

And how can you not love a freshly cleaned naked baby??? After his baths, he LOVES to stand up by the couch or the ottoman for some play time.

Future best friends (Josh and Will) "fighting" over a toy. Already?!?!

And he loves the pumpkins outside our front door. This past Tuesday when my mom was watching him, I came home to find them sitting on this step and Josh holding his little pumpkin. It was so sweet!

And for one last picture, enjoy!

Also, please check out the link on my blog for The Heuer Group. Jeff played basketball with Eric and he and his wife Jen have 2 adorable little boys and are expecting a third baby this coming year. He and his brother Ian are in real estate and are excellent at what they do!

Have a great weekend!

Josh is doing something new it seems like every day. Recently, his favorite thing is to stand up in his crib and babble. He wants to do this before he goes to sleep AND when he wakes up. It is starting to make going to bed a little difficult. But it is oh so much fun! And he has started saying "b" sounds as you will see in this video. Enjoy.

First Family Fall Tradition!

Well today we went to the Campbell's Pumpkin Patch for the first time. We had a great time! Josh loved being outdoors. It looks like I had him dressed for a snowstorm :) But it was a bit chilly. After a little while though, it warmed up and I took his coat off (the hat was on just briefly). I bought Josh a pair of Jordan high tops yesterday. Aren't they sweet?! The doctor told us to put him in high tops so that his ankles can get stronger (he likes to stand on his toes instead of flat footed). What a great excuse to buy cute high tops! And they were on sale!

(uggh! I hate when the writing turns blue and I don't know how to fix it)...anyways...Here we are holding a baby pigmy goat. They were adorable! Only 2 weeks old. And it was so cute to watch them jump/hop around and make cute baby sounds. I definitely wasn't planning on holding them but the gentleman offered and I couldn't resist. Josh loved touching them and tried pulling his hair :)
Here he is with daddy looking at all of them.

We went with our good friends, the Tonagels, who went the first time when their son Jace was only 1 month old. Now it was Will's first time. And he loved it (as you can see from his sweet smile).

I love this picture of all three. I couldn't get them all to look at me at the same time but I still think it's pretty cute. Jace is busy looking at pumpkins. Will just wants to eat his clothes. And Josh is probably looking at daddy.

This might be my favorite of the whole trip. Josh is always so fascinated with whatever Jace is doing. He loves watching Jace!

Jace loves him some cookies!

Surprise! Maggie and Papa Jack showed up to see us!

Enjoying the hay ride.

Here's a video of the new thing Josh is doing. He is going from sitting up to on his belly.

7 Months

The pictures speak for themselves. I can't believe we are closer to a 1 year birthday party than we are his birth. :( He is so much fun right now. I just put him to bed and if I sit him up close to the side of the crib, he puts his hands on the rail and tries to pull himself up. He hasn't yet been able to sit up from laying down but as soon as that comes, I think we will be in trouble. So we will be lowering the mattress this week just in case. And speaking of just putting him to bed...we skipped his evening nap so I am praying he sleeps through it and doesn't wake up in the middle of the night. We'll see!

Blessed

I just need to say that I have the sweetest husband ever. He gave me breakfast in bed, flowers and dark chocolate. And he continues to show me how much he loves me daily! Even when I don't give him my best, he is always giving me his best. He is a wonderful father and husband. I am so blessed! Thank you Jeff for picking me!

6 Month Check Up

We just went to the doctor yesterday for his 6 month well check visit. (But he'll be 7 months on Sunday!)

Here are his stats:

21 lbs 11.7 oz (92%)
28 inches (82%)
Head - can't remember the length (86%)

He's rolling over from his back to his belly!

He has been sitting up now for at least a month, maybe more.

At the doctor yesterday, we were able to see little white dots on his gums, so 2 teeth may be appearing soon?!?! I love his gums and will miss his gummy smile when they come in :(

He is becoming quite vocal. His newest and most used sound is "Ahheeeeeeeeh"

He lights up whenever Jeff comes in the room and I tell him "There's dada!"

He loves baths but hates it when they are over and he has to be dried off.

Everything I have given him, he has eaten! The only thing he doesn't really like is peaches. But he sure does love his food. He eats some fruit in the morning, a fruit and veggie at dinner, then some cereal in the evening before bed.

He sleeps from about 9:30 to 6:30. Takes 2 really long naps during the day and then 1 short nap in the evening. We have tried skipping the evening nap but he usually ends up waking up at about 10:30 or 11 thinking he just had a really good nap!

Here are some recent pictures.

Jeff did his first sprint triathlon (Mighty Mississinewa Triathlon) and had a great time doing it with his friends (Greg and Roger). Way to go guys!

Josh with his cute little tongue out. Look at that belly.

Loves his zany zoo!

And I just love this outfit that Maggie got him! I guess I am just a sucker for blue outfits with blue eyes. Jeff, sorry for all of the 30 thousand blue shirts I buy you! Joshua, you are too young to realize how much blue you have been and will be wearing.

And happy birthday to my brother Justin! He is 23 today! Love you Uncle J!

California Lovin and a birthday boy!

Josh got to spend some quality time with my sister this past weekend in California. He loves his Auntie!! He also go to meet her boyfriend (Mo) and her roommate (Maria). It was a blast! My mom came with us and she was a HUGE help with all the traveling. We had a great time eating homemade pizza, Sprinkles cupcakes!!!, chocolate cake with caramel icing, Red Robin, Rubio's fish tacos, omelets, pasta, and I'm sure I'm leaving out something! We visited Victoria Beach while we were there. I think Josh is going to love the water. It was great getting to see where my sister lives. Josh got a lot of love from Auntie, Mo, Maria, and everyone else he met.

Momma and her girls

Josh makes this face a lot. It is always cracking Jeff up! It's like he wants to reach for something but his body moves backwards. It's hilarious.

So sweet, wearing an outfit Auntie got him!

Love his eyes

Hanging out with Mo

Today, I watched my friend Amy's son, Will. He is such a sweetheart! He is so much more mobile than Josh. He's getting up on his knees and lunging all over the place! Josh just loves looking at other little people. I laid them down beside each other and Josh didn't take his eyes off Will. Here is Josh smiling like crazy at Will. It was hilarious to watch.

And here's both of them with their toys.

Last but NOT LEAST...Happy birthday to the sweetest 2 year old boy I know!!!! We love you Jace!!! We cannot believe how fast time has gone. We are so lucky to be a part of your life!

I had a great time looking back through photos to pick out a couple of my favorites.

I wonder if I will ever look this rested again...
